Why no date on almanac
Posted By Kelly Bellis on 11/21/2002 at 9:15 AM

Ashtech Solutions 2.6 now affords the user the ability to transfer an almanac from the PM2 unit to the PC; however, no date is displayed for the almanac on the PM2 side of the Ashtech Download-> PC dialog window. Why is that? All the other (observation) files display a date.

Why wrong date on almanac

After transferring the file discussed above simply named [almanac] on the PM2 to the appropriate subdirectory, I note the automated file name change to [alm0.326] with the date stamp as of the time of transfer to the PC.

First off, my system date (PC) is 11.21.02 which I believe is JD 325 - NOT 326.

Sencond, the data was collected on JD 324 as too I assume the almanac was - NOT 326.

Why is the file that is transferred and ends up being on the PC have the wrong date?

Kelly,
I have noticed the exact behavior on the Locus. I can run a project and the almanac will have a Julian date two days past the field data. Phil explained to me that it is just a glitch in the software that is apparently a minor one.

Hey Jimbo, thanks for the reply.

Did this bug exist prior to 2.6?
Did it exist prior to 2.5?
