Temporary Withdrawals

All three Locus units on the way to California for a tune up. And I screwed up and didn't ship second day. Let's see, 7 day travel time, 10 day turn around, 7 days back.....
And we just completed phase one of a sewer project of about 3000' through the usual sewer line conditions. Flooded creek bottom, woods, saw briers, and a bazillion pipe lines. Locus control points were great. Verticals from end to end closed conventional .015. And we're bickering over a 0.16' horizontal closure on the end of a sewer project. Thought I'd never see the day.

I hope we get em back soon. Gotta set up control on the next two lines in this project in a couple of weeks. I can't wait. We're actually gonna see a profit on a sewer project. A rare thing in the oilfield bottom lands of East Texas.

just rambling on a saturday night

Ramble away, JD. Another thing about overnight or 2nd day vs ground...I'm told that the parcel is handled less when it's o'night or 2nd than with ground. Kinda makes sense, the travel just gets over with sooner. Plus they sorta prioritize the parcels on the final local truck, so the stuff doesn't get re-stacked and re-loaded so much. This theory therefore supports shipping fragile or high-dollar stuff expedited. I use this rationale when I'm in a hurry but can't otherwise justify the extra cost!

Tune up?

Do I need to send my receivers every so often to california for a "TUNE UP"?

They have been working really well, until yesterday, when an entire kinematic session failed.

I think it was an isolated incident, but you got me wondering. ??
