Step One $ RTK

I've seen some discussion about single frequency RTK. We have 2 step ones and 1 reliance. Can these units be upgrade to RTK and if so with what results?

Michel,

Your Step-One & Reliance units cannot be upgraded to RTK.
With the exception of GG-24 receivers (L1-GPS & L1-Glonass),
all of Ashtech RTK systems are Dual-Frequency L1/L2 receivers.

L1 only RTK system require long intialization times and are very susceptable to loosing "FIX", requiring re-occupation on a known position to re-intialize. Not very productive in the field.
