Even without Ashtech Solutions you can download data from the receiver with the RCS Download program. RCS also includes a RINEX conversion utility that will make RINEX files that I have used with OPUS.

You can get RCS from the ftp server at ftp://ftp.ashtech.com

Just click your way to the software folder. Don't forget to get into the manuals folder for the pdf manuals for both hardware and software.

Be sure to read the OPUS rules on the NGS web page.

Do not have changes in recording interval, SiteID, antenna height changes, or poor PDOP in the file you submit to OPUS. If the OPUS processor detects changes in the file it will be kicked back at you.

Practice close to home where you are not burning a bunch of gas to get the job done. Once you get the process figured out it works well.

Remember that OPUS is not a substitute for a GPS network survey.

If you have trouble using your Ashtech tools to do OPUS ask Ashtech tech support for some help. The contact information is in your manual and on the web page at http://www.ashtech.com
