Posted By George Mock on 1/11/2001 at 12:35 PM

Two of my Z-Surveyors , all of a sudden lost lock on all satellites. After changing ant. & cables still no lock. Then from around the earth I recieved three sats all with (-) elevations. Re-burned units still no birds....EXCEPT IN SINGAPORE.....HELP!!

Could be an old firmware, or needing a reboot, suggest

you lost your almanacs...reset receivers through the data logger or receiver itself...take them back out in the field ...set them up like you normally would and let them set for like 20 minutes, and i'll bet they will work like they once did...firmware should be "UG00" now I belive..Have done it several times to me!!!

Thanks Gary for the advice. Yes I immediately thought that the almanac was the problem. But after reburning the receivers and sitting outside with the receivers for 3 hours I figured the almanac should have been updated. However, they weren't. They would lock on to the satellites in Uganda, but nothing else. Then I started disabling the SV's that where in India and no other SATs in this Hemisphere would show their face?!?! I think it's time to send them back.
