I have gnss solutions software and I am trying to download the current almanac. I go to the coast guard download site, download the current almanac. I set it in the software and it says it is from week 538 which is during may 1990. I open up the file as a text file and it says week 538. What am I doing wrong?

Go to the Magellan ftp site, it is easiest.

ftp://ftp.promagellangps.com/almanacs/

I prefer the Ashtech Solutions version of Planning.

Still doesn't explain why you can't import a standard SEM almanac file, which I confirm isn't working.
