Calling Lawton OK

TM,

I finally processed as best I could (with the poor sv data available) your positions. I used the following CORS sites: VCIO, ARL5, JTNT, PRCO and AML5. You have almost the same "5 point " CORS configuration I had with four on "outside" corners and one a bit closer. Anyway, these are the best I could do given the circumstances:

POINTS INDEPENDENTLY DETERMINED

TMWEST
East 1832087.690 95%err 0.389
Nrth 454303.342 95%err 0.351
Elev 1114.791 95%err 0.379

TMEAST
East 1835106.523 95%err 0.321
Nrth 454304.460 95%err 0.320
Elev 1115.094 95%err 0.219

Question.....Was there a possibility of different multipath conditions on these two points??????

POINTS DETERMINED BY INCLUSION OF VECTOR FROM TMEAST AND TMWEST

TMWEST

East 1835087.872 95%err 0.240
Nrth 454303.259 95%err 0.229
Elev 1114.800 95%err 0.183

TMEAST

East 1835106.400 95%err 0.240
Nrth 454304.529 95%err 0.229
Elev 1115.090 95%err 0.183

I think this is proper format for Oklahoma South Zone, NAD83, ortho.

You're turn. Where are you for real?

JD...Working on the data as we speak..

Been having a bit of a sticky wicket getting the UFCORS..Updated my read me with the HARN derived and the OPUS derived for Paulk W and Paulk E, but I'll post the here to save you some time.

HARN
Paulk E 454304.608
1835106.364
1115.338
1031.237

Paulk W 454303.410
1835087.772
1115.012
1030.911

OPUS Derived (averages multiple sessions) 6 hours sessions on three different days

Paulk E 454304.485
1835106.336
1115.236
1031.134

Paulk W 454303.335
1835087.788
1114.909
1030.806

Downloading Jimbo's files at this time (found a program called CuteFTP, that seems to be pretty idiot proof, well, at least Paulk Proof)... Then on to yours and others....

TM Doesn't look to bad on first glance...

(be back a little later)

Your files don't appear to have a RINEX...

I'm pleasantly surprised by the results of my processing as compared to your "established" positions. I still believe a better constellation may give better results, but even still, who would'a thunk it? Even with a "less than desireable constellation" we can achieve pretty darned good results with L1 only. I am getting a bit more confident now with the values Solutions presents in the 95% confidence level on error estimates. My results seem to show to me that these estimates fit well within the "true" positions.

Am I interpreting the Ashtech Solutions data properly?

As Elmer would say...

Be bery, bery quiet...I'm hunting rabbits...

Don't want the L2 boys to see this...Of course overnight sessions are a bit much for your average point...

So far...Still downloading (CORS is VERY VERY slow today)..but have sessions from;
Paulk E, Paulk W, Jimbo, Post, VCIO,ARL5,JTNT,SAL1,Bea5,Wnfl,Hous,Dqua..
Can't get Patt or Hklo to work no matter what I try to do...Bad data from them, or something....CORS (maybe the C is optional at times!)...

Got good triangulation to you and me, still working on Jimbo's spot...

Yep...Extremely long lines...but that's what this is all about...
We will see what the squish will be....
JD kicked butt on Paulk E and Paulk W...We'll see what I can do on Jimbo and Post....

PATT is down

TM

I don't know the deal on HKLO, but I do know PATT is down for a while. Seems they are (or have already) replacing the receiver. I would guess they will run the new receiver for several days/weeks to determine updated position. I've had a problem with the "data availability" function of the CORS page not working.

I'm blaming part of the poor results on my ORGI2 determination of POST on the lack of PATT. I think having the nearer point helped build the necessary models for the "squish" to work.

Yes...But you did damn well on Paulk E-W
Posted By Trimble Man on 2/10/2002 at 4:55 PM

Much better geometry I guess..
I've been working this afternoon on points Jimbo and Post....Ignoring the data , Post is within a few hundreths in the northing and easting...Jimbo is more problematic...Don't know why, but it doesn't seem to want to play fair....( I don't have his coordinates, but just looking at the stats on this point)...
Wait...Didn't Jimbo post about some problems starting and stopping it...Dang it...Have to backtrack now....

Guess this was in his readme.file...

TM

L1 can rock.....L1 can do long lines...L1 is not a toy...Proven by the experiments.....
I bet we could do just as well during the 'nasty' hours....

We've discovered the secret...Higher masks and intelligent interpretation... (okay, maybe I have some trouble with the second part)...

Not Quite Ready

to say "We all dat" just yet, but we have come a long way haven't we. I'll guarantee I've learned more in the last 6 months on this experiment alone than I've learned in all the short courses and seminars put together (no offense to the seminar speakers - I'm just a hands on learner).

I don't think Jimbo has given us a set of "target" coordinates yet. Remember, he just got the "Tower" erected the day we started. And yes, you need to knock off the front and end segments as noted. I think the 0400 - 1500 time session is o.k. but Jimbo can tell us if different.
