I have MMCX and Sony Ericsson K700i cell phone with DRS-11 (RS232) cable. I want to receive DGPS (NTRIP) corrections through COM1. But when I made dial-up connection I get following error:
You have been disconnected from remote computer you dialed. Verify the baud rate.
When I made dial-up connection through Bluetooth I get connected without any problem.
I have tried dial-up connection with this cell pone through RS232 (COM) from my notebook – get connected without any problem.
In some document I found that when DGPS are Beacon received through COM1 the port speed is set to 4800 baud. So, I tried every port speed settings – without any success :-(
Any advise?
Com01 is the physical port, you will use Com04 or Com05 typically for BT connections to Beacons and cells.
If you have success with BT connections for dial-up, why even try a cable?? Your purpose for this test/configuration does not make sense.

BT communication consume lot of power. Once, my fully charged cell phone shut down after only 4,5 hour of work :-( So, there are ecological (and also economical) reasons:
- less elektormagnetic smog (I don't know exact word in English)
- consuming less power mean that you have not charge the battery of the cell phone so often
- charging battery less often mean more battery life. So, you will produce less garbage!!!
- from economical poitn of view: you will earn some money for electricity (less charging) and you will earn money for betteries (you have not buy them so often)
