MM CE - Adjusting Time on Windows CE.net

I am unable to adjust the time on the Windows CE.net interface (bottom right clock) When I go to the date/Time properties set it and hit apply it resorts back to the time and date it wants it to be.

Are you indoors?

All you need to do is set the date and time zone you are in(with or without correction for daylight savings time) and then the clock is update according to GPS time. It will only update if it is receiving a GPS signal.

If the unit hasn't been on or outdoors in a while I would take the unit outside, peform a GPS Reset and GPS Initialization under GPS Utilities, then reset the Date/Time accordingly. After about 15 mintues of the unit being on and outdoors it will correct the time.

If this does not work, then you may need to flash the firmware.

I hope this helps.

Brett

The GPS receiver should set the clock properly based on your time zone selection.

If the GPS receiver does not set the date and time something is wrong.

Reset both the GPS receiver and the MobileMapper CE as described in the manual.

Take it outdoors and be patient while the GPS receiver sets the clock. Use the GPS Status program to see the GPS receiver get a fresh start.

Make sure the operating system and GPS firmware are both up to date.
