I'm considering buying the LOCUS system and would like to hear of some realworld examples of how you are using your LOCUS system for kinematic work. Also, users with 3 receivers: do you have a person babysit the unit as it gathers its data, or do you just leave them there (alone).

Nicholas, I've used kinematic w/Locus for a variety of projects. Topos, as-builts, soil boring locations, boundary and other control work. The key to success in Kinematic is mission planning and knowing site conditions (obstructions, etc). Locus w/kinematic kit will give you the best bang for the buck. The Ashtech software is very good and support is excellent--you won't be disappointed.
