I just re-installed Solutions. Disk was v2.5. v2.7 is EOL and not on ftp. I have GNSS but want Solutions v2.7. Can anyone help me.
Thanks
I paid for the disks when I upgraded from 2.5 to 2.6 and again from 2.6 to 2.7. I don't know if it was ever on the ftp site.
I then bought the upgrade to GNSS Solutions. When I upgraded that I downloaded from the ftp site. I would have sooner paid for the disk.

I have the same sort of problem. I no longer can find my install disk (3 moves later), but I have the hard drive from my old computer with v2.6. Since it wasnt installed on this system I can only use it as a trial version, although I can review my old files (no downloads)? If anyone has v2.7 available I would gladly purchase.
I am downloading GNSS right now and the more I read here it sounds like a problem software? Phil Stevenson did say he is available for questions by cell phone.
The learning curve for GNSS Solutions is more intense than for Ashtech Solutions but to describe it as problem software is a mistake.
For a few years I kept a list of "problems" that people had with Ashtech Solutions. Many, if not all, of those problems are solved by GNSS Solutions. I have a list for GNSS Solutions too but that list is still a work in progress.
It is important to learn how to use the software most effectively. I have learned how to get results from GNSS Solutions that are worthy of betting my estate on what I can do with it.
There was a time when I dragged my feet about switching from Ashtech Solutions to GNSS Studio / GNSS Solutions. Sharon decided to create those videos for GNSS Studio. Our work together on that project, and her enthusiasm for the new software, made me dig deeper into the potential of the new software. Credit for Sharon's enthusiasm goes to our friend Slim Patrick. I was too much a naysayer at one time.
Today I can say with honesty that I would rather crunch my data in GNSS Solutions. It typically works equally well. Often times it works better. I have stopped comparing results between Ashtech Solutions and GNSS Solutions. I don't need to do that any more. Today I compare results between measurements and against known values.
GNSS Solutions will get results that match OPUS positions within a reasonable error budget. Redundant measurements give confidence that if they took the top two feet off of a construction project I could reset all the control and begin again.
ProMark3 RTK work has been compared with static and Stop&Go survey projects done with a variety of tools.
ProMark3 static survey data has been checked with my pocket tape.
Projects that demonstrate these things have been shared in the past. I am ready to share them again.
One of the worst things about my cushy sit down job is that I get too much living proof that people do not read the instructions. I also get proof that sometimes the instructions are not enough for me or the next guy either. Sometimes a combination of reading the instructions, experience, and experiments make the lights come on.
Some things are learned by doing. That is one real advantage of this message board. In the last few years we have watched some folks go from frustration to success right here on this message board. The years are marked with some failures and the loss of my partner in crime too.
I can get wrong answers from most of the tools I own. If I grab my hammer by the wrong end it will not give desired results. Avoid doing the same wrong thing ten times just to prove it won't work ten times. Find a pathway to success. That provides the best return on our investment.
Some folks have learned to make liberal use of my cell phone. I really do want to help but I hope you will start with my phone at work. When I am at my office desk a message left on that phone gets priority over a message left on my cell phone. When they are both ringing the phone on my desk gets answered first.
Looks like the short answer is that nobody has v2.7 they are welling to sell or otherwise share?
OOPS "willing" - I work with numbers better than I spell or proof!

Look at the control ties and the length of the L1 vectors.
Those who want the long version are welcome to ask me questions.
