Trying to upload points into Promark3
Posted By Compass Rule on 1/1/2008 at 12:13 PM

I am trying for the first time to upload points into a Promark 3. Is there any way (manually?,SD card?) to do this other than using a regular USB cable? I do not have a USB cable with two male ends. Guess I will be going to the store tomorrow.

Use the USB cable that came in the box. The little end plugs into the I/O module.

Make sure you have the most current system resources in the ProMark3.

You may need to set data storage to internal memory long enough to load the points. Then you can set it back to the SD card storage.

There is an application note about connecting the ProMark3 to your PC on the ftp server that may help you.

If you are using FastSurvey the easiest way is to write an ascii file to the SD card, use extension .txt on your ascii file, then using FastSurvey transfer and then import.
This is the EASIEST and fastest way.
