Hello!
I'm currently using two Thales MobileMapper CE units, both with up-to-date firmware, with ArcPad 7.0.1. The units actually had 7.0.1 installed initially so no upgrading was done. But, ever since the units have been in my care saving has been an issue. I have read multiple forums that delved into this issue of the "suspended save" when saving "*.apm" files, but I could not find a fix.
Although, as of this morning I found what I thought was a solution, but was more or less a false hope. Within ArcPad 7.0.1 I would "add layers" to the .apm file and attempt to save to no avail. However, if I attempt to "open map" and open a shapefile through this process it successfully opens. But, it only saved once and subsequent tries, even within the first saved .apm file were no use. The spinning hourglass continued to exist until the battery eventually caved.
I know there was a fix from ESRI for ArcPad users from 7.0 to 7.0.1 to eliminate the "suspended save", but from my experience with these units and 7.0.1 and my research (at times limited) it seems as though I have either a faulty unit or I have somehow missed a problem with a potential solution.
Any help/guidance/etc is greatly appreciated!
