From the interesting conversations on the other board about the $700 million resurection of Glonass, I wonder if some of the old GG-Surveyor's(L1 GPS+GLONASS), will be dragged out of the cupboard, dusted off and pressed into service.
Last year when Glonass was almost dead, our local Ashtech guy sold his old GG-Surveyor for a song.
The GG was cheaper because it only used L1 Glonass and L1 GPS, and I wonder what Ashtech policy will be NOW toward Glonass, since they do not manufacture any RTK or static gear using Glonass at present?
Anyone?
If that happens, I should think Trimble would have to do a lot of back-peddling, if Javad and Ashtech re-enter the Glonass arena!

For what it's worth, "a song" currently appears to be less than $15k. Twice in recent weeks someone from Ohio has tried to sell an Ashtech GG-24C on eBay; both times the auction failed to attract the $15,000 minimum bid.
