What's going on with OPIE now that the holidays are over?
Mr. G,
I'm not sure where "OPIE" is at this point in time. I can give a status report on "ORGI". Last Thursday an independent party ran some 9 hours L1/L2 on station "POST" with a Trimble 4000si. The plan is to process this data to CORS stations, process with combination of CORS and local HARN, and send to OPUS when precise eph. is available.
As I am unable to use the precise ephemeris with Ashtech Solutions, I'm afraid that my contribution to "OPIE" will be minimal. Phase 1 of ORGI will be complete when I'm able to present the independently derived coordinates on "POST" for comparison to my 3 individual sessions. A "Phase 2" is in the works, which will include several L1 users participation in a joint session.
Redesigning my base post.....
26' in the air. Partially "unsupported", yes, I'm using a skyhook.
The problem is getting it up and down (LOCUS unit) and still being able to verify the aerial points location evry time it goes back up !

Be VERY careful when 'screwing the LOCUS on a pole at this height'...Hate to picture the terrible accident that could happen..
