"Ground" conversion

Just put together a small static network the other day, using 3 Locus receivers and tying into known control from another project nearby (6 miles or so) previously established with Locus.
Imported a couple of vectors from other project, had good redundency in the network and left out the "trivial" baselines in the adjustment.
Changed from SPC grid and created a new "ground" based coordinate system. Next morning we set up the total station and measured the 850' vector I used as the base point on the "new" coordinate system. Checked out 0.013' Horizontal and 0.015' vertical. Followed by BIG smile.
I can't see using anything other than Locus or PM2 with Solutions 2.4/2.5 for the BEST bang for the buck.
Now, as far as "screwing a Locus on a post", well, I haven't tried that one yet.
JIMBO, send crawfish!

I am familiar with that big smile you mention...nothing quite like that feeling you get when you measure conventionally between GPS points and they compare that close.
