I guess I am in a generous mood...counting the 2 weekends...I took off 11 days over the holidays....what a wonderful thing it was...got all out of my normal rhythym...almost forgot how to survey...LOL....
This is sort of my traditional break..but now it is back to it!
we were off from the 21st until yesterday...still remembered how to survey, but we forgot how to load the truck...seems like we must not have needed a metal detector yesterday, 'cause we sure didn't have one...
but we found what we were looking for anyway, even tripped over a monument i was looking for...
you guys are ganging up on me. Shawn gets 3 paid days every year. Thanksgiving (my wife-his mother-insists), Christmas day (unless on a weekend-again mommy) and Easter Sunday.
Sure was cold on "New Years Day". We were actually having to wear long sleeves in the field.
J.D.
p.s. I've been considering shutting down on March 2 (official Republic of Texas Independence Day) in coming years. May be added to employee benefits in the future.
if ya did that then which one would he have to work, Thanksgiving or New Year's ?
Jimbo
I guess you answered that one for me, considering I just said we already worked New Years. Thanks, you made it a lot easier to put into the plan.

Suffice it to say that I've taken some time away from work over the holidays. All work and no play makes Brian a grouchy SOB. I like my work, but believe in a thing called "quality of life".

Didn't sending Shawn out of town give you a little 'vacation time' also...
I took off all week and my partner called several times..I think he missed me (but I can't imagine why!) I would have thought he'd enjoy the peace and quiet for a change...

after some vacation you are back to work for 2 reason
1 you are relax
