I had a receiver crap out on me the other day.
Does anyone have an old one laying around they might want to sell or know of where I can get one cheap?
I wish it had happened last month before I bought all my end of the year stuff.
Thanks

Contact Magellan, get authorization and send it in with a check before they run out of replacements.

I contacted Mark. It turned out the receiver needed a reset. He did a "Code 32" on it and it seems to be fine now. Some people do a Code 32 every month or so, or before every major project. There is a tech note on ftp.magellangps.com in the /Land Survey/EOL/PM2/Application Notes/ folder on how to do this ("PM2 Tech note - resetting with Code 32.pdf").
In a nutshell:
1. Turn receiver off
2. Press the NAV/SURV down hard and simultaneously press then power button for one full second. You will see a small box with two zeroes in it.
3. Use the arrow cursor to change the "00" to a "32" and press ENTER twice to "Clear All Memory." This turns the receiver off but it does not clear any data files.
4. Turn the unit back on, pick a language and reinitialize it, making sure to type in the correct date, time and year.
