is like a bolt with threads, that screws into a nut on the inside of the tape. Make sure the pointy thing is tight, and you'll be fine.

Ok Ok This has been on my mind several times.
It was time to talk about the little pointy things. So, thanks Paul for bringing it up.

This is what I know about it.
1.) Get some Silicone (I use orange high-heat from NAPA, and use it on lots of things, from sealing manifold leaks, to brush-axe bolt threads, and on prism pole threads) Put it in the threads, and it will work good, and even keep moisture out.
I lost one (1) too. I went to my local Hardware store, and got a brass screw, and a set nut, to hold it in place. Works great.

Now, on to what I don't know!

Where can I get some more of these tapes, (I'd like to get a 25' one, with a tip that would work on the antenae ring) so I'd only have to carry one tape?

one of my three was loose when I got them
