TIME VIEW OVERLAP
Posted By Kennith Hazelwood on 11/13/2001 at 9:34 PM

I am a student at UACCM and we are having a problem with the time view. We used 4 recievers on 8 sites and downloaded them onto locus 1.20. The times for each of the recievers is overlaped. We cannot get them seperated. Any help would be appreciated.

When you say "the times for each of the receivers is overlapped", can you expound on that a bit?

Did you turn off the receiver before moving between points and restart for the next session?

Just trying to understand the problem.

JD,

I'm with you on this one. If the receiver times don't overlap wouldn't that be the problem ??

We cannot see the seperate recievers times because all the data from the four recievers are stacked on top of each other. (Just one bar shows on the timeview) Hope this is clearer. Thanks

Kennith,

On the left side of the TimeView Window do you see the seperate receiver numbers, the 4 digit serial number code for each receiver ?

How big do you have the window ? Try making it bigger by dragging a corner down over the other windows.

Jimbo,

I think you got it. I wasn't sure what the problem was with "overlap". But, of course overlap is common at our age.

I'd bet Canadian dollars to doughnuts that Jimbo hit on the problem.

When you import your raw data files, make sure that each receiver serial number is shown in the dialog.

The same thing happens with Trimble software when importing Rinex files.

The problem is that only one of the serial numbers is showing on the left side of the window and it doesnt make a difference how big the window is. There are four recievers and only one shows the serial number but the information is all there but stacked on top of each other. I Hope that this is clearer.

start a new project.
try loading in data from one receiver at a time.
watch and note which file causes the screw up.

Kennith, have you tried entering in the missing 4 digit serial numbers into the appropriate fields?
