Is there an easy way to contact Thales for tech support. I have been trying for about 2 weeks, both by phone & e-mail, and have not spoken to anybody. The phone number to call says that they are currently helping other costumers and asks me to leave a message. I've left a few and no response. Same with e-mail. Are they having that many problems that the tech support is that busy? Has anybody else had any success in talking to a real human on there tech line?
I don't doubt you, but I have talked to Thales several times. They're normally pretty easy to get through to. I'm not apologizing for them, I'm just saying that your experience is unusual.
What tech number did you call? I'm using the one on the web site. Maybe I'm not calling the right one.
we're closed today
Thanks. But I searched the message board for the question I had and found the answer had been posted already. Fixed the problem in 2 minutes and everything works good now. Should have done that 2 weeks ago=)Thanks for the help though
Dustin,
Check your email.
Contacting tech support is fairly easy.

Phil, thanks for the response. I had checked the Thales web site for the support pages before I called, however, my computer at work is still in the stone ages of dial-up and I never could get the pages to load properly. So I tried calling instead.
I still can't get it to recognize the receiver with the usb cable. I don't know what I'm doing wrong. In the device manager window on my computer it lists it as a modem. So I don't know what port to look for in the GNSS software.
I got it to work with the bluetooth, though. Went with the MMO software there. Maybe I should try that with the USB cable.
Dustin,
Re: the USB download
An workaround is to use an SD card reader. It's easy to pop the SD card out the side slot of the PM3 (if you've logged your data to the internal memory, insert the SD card, then use File Manager to copy your files to the card). In Download, select Connect to PC Drive, and browse to your card reader drive. Then transfer the same as if you are downloading from the receiver. Remember that you can't just copy the files using Windows Explorer -- you must use the Download utility to expand the compressed files.
I know that we do say the USB will download, but it isn't happening for you, and this is a quick and easy fix that will keep you working.

Linda
