PM2 Antenna Parameters
Posted By Jim Frame on 11/10/2001 at 3:17 PM

In a previous thread, it was noted that PM2 antenna parameters can now be found on the Ashtech web site. The document referenced provides basic dimensions, but doesn't discuss azimuth/elevation corrections.

I'm interested in adding the PM2 antenna to the database used by TGO, which appears to make use of these corrections. Has Ashtech determined this information, and is it available?

Thanks.

P.S. Below is an example of an antenna type file used by TGO. I'm guessing as to the interpretation of the numbers, but it appears that the effective elevation the L1 offset changes by up to 4.6mm. This obviously isn't a big deal, but I'm all for beating errors into submission wherever practical, thus my inquiry.

Jim,

I believe the numbers you want are available in the NGS test report. That stuff bores me to tears so I worry about what will make the antenna work with Ashtech Solutions.

This is straight from the horse and should let you go hog wild with your science projects.

That's what I was looking for -- thanks.
