Ah yes, all the red flags of a bad deal.
1) Seller has changed his ebay name in the last 30 days.
2) Seller has 0 feedback rating.
3) Shipping insurance is NOT available.
4) You MUST use a Paypal account to bid.
Fellers, don't be stupid!

and how 'bout that ease of download to just any old IR device obtainable over the counter. He obviously wasn't the user...and where's the Locus Processor CD?
funny though how the former owner used a magic marker to write the unit numbers on the carry bags exactly like we did on our first Locus units.

Did you notice his choke rings. They are the plastic measuring hats. If you got them around your neck you might choke, but they would not do much against stray EM radiation.
Those serial numbers say they once belonged to, and may still, the City of Salem. Did they go out the front or back door? They did not yet get too far from home.

they could have been legitamately purchased in a city "auction", then put up on eBay. I wouldn't bet on it, but it is possible. I know Deral has a lot of stuff leave his city office that way.
The guy also has two other auctions going on with a Trimble pathfinder and a Nikon ts with Husky..??
Would be nice to add two Locus to my ageing fleet.. but sounds to iffy
If I could pick up in person?
And what the ser Numbers were.

His response:
No, you can't pick them up in person.
