Convert PNEZD ascii as .wpt WayPoints

I have been asked this quit a bit lately in respect to using ProMark2 in Navigation mode.

If anyone knows of or have in place and would like to share a system or utility that eases the set up and conversion of standard PNEZD in ASCII (.txt) format to (.wpt ) Way Point format.
The Way Point Format is what MapSend recognizes which in turn can be uploaded into the MAP330 Receiver and thus enabling Navigation to the uploaded points.
We do know that the MapSend format is as follows: WP, DMSX, Point#, Lat, Long ,,,,

PanTerra

I purchased PanTerra from TopoGrafix to use with my new Map 330. I did some testing with the ProMark2 from work and it looked like the right software for data export using that .CSV file format.

I don't have the hours with it to tell you that I have found all the bells and whistles but I did use PanTerra and the ProMark2 to make a map of some waypoints in my neighborhood. I am using the TIGER maps for my base map.

It was a surveyor who told me about PanTerra and said it was worth the money. I decided to send them a check based on what he said as well as my first trial run.

The MapSend software lets me load the street maps for my neighborhood in the hand held so I see my waypoints along with the streets. PanTerra lets me export those waypoints to other mapping packages so I can share my waypoint maps with a bunch of folks.

Since the moving van arrived I have not had much time to play with GPS tools except at work. One of these days I am going to be all settled in and I will have time to tinker a little more. Sharon is bringing our Reliance with her so we will have something to compare notes.

Yesterday I managed to connect the ProMark2 to the demo version of Fugawi just to see what would happen. The thing seemed to work but just about the time I was ready to brag to the rest of the team it quit - telling me that my demo time was up.

Is anybody using this? How well does it work?

The demo version is definitely crippleware so I would like to hear from users before I cough up the hundred bucks.
