This question is ONLY about GPS units, not the associated software . . . I think.

Do accuracy specs for "post-processed" GPS involve the use of the proprietary software, such as PM2 & Ashtech Solutions or Locus & Locus processor, or PM3 & GNSS, or are the accuracy specs somehow derived in a more generic fashion?
