We recently aquired a ProMark-2 3-reciever static GPS system...After having the opportunity to use if a few times, I am impressed. On a section breakdown this week, I gps'd a few control points on the project site. When our field crew ran their bench loop through the control points they missed by less than 0.1' vertically and Horizontal positions are even better than advertised, at least so far...(You were right, Phil...measure the short lines too...)
Occupation times have been as advertised...between 24 and 56 minutes, with around 30 min. being average.
We are preparing to start work on a large rural survey that will involve section breakdowns on 4 sections. These are sections in which there are very few corner filings...so I will get the opportunity to use the PM2 in navigate mode to go "corner hunting"...Very slick little box indeed Phil.
