12 volt adapter for PM2

Hi,

Does anybody know if the Magellan 730275 12 volt adapter is still the best thing to get for modifying the PM2 for an external 12 volt power supply.

You could go with the external power kit.

I have had great luck using the external and a 6 battery Ni-Cad battery pack. Check the archives on this board for the battery packs. The charger is no longer availabe, but the batteries work great. I can provide you with a charger that sells for $50.00 that will charge them properly. It also works well for my T/S batteries so I only need one charger in my truck.
