I noticed that there are now 9 Glonass sats operating, but the SV numbers on the Glonass site are 2,3,4,6,6,7,8,9,11 but the Ashtech Mission Planning (alm.00325) shows 1,7,8,10,11,13,15,17,22.
Do these numbers match, or am I barking up the wrong tree?
How do I work out what GPS day it is?
Stephen,
Ashtech GPS/Glonass receivers display the Glonass SV numbers in the following format:
US NAVSTAR GPS Satellites use PRN Numbers 1-32
These SV Numbers relate to the NAVSTAR GOLD Codes.
On Ashtech GPS/Glonass receivers, any SV's numbers higher
than 33 are GLONASS Satellites. Example: if the GG24 receiver
is tracking SV 52, simply subtract 32 from 52 = GLONASS SV 20.
GPS Days follow the Julian Day Format.
Jan 1st = Julian Day 001, etc.
Nov. 24 = Julian Day 329
Many Calenders show the Gregorian Day & the Julian Day.
You can also Download a GPS Calender Program from the NGS
