Solutions- Using Precise Ephemeris Data

Hello all,

If possible, could someone explain to me how to use precice orbits (ephemeris data) with Solutions software. I have the .sp3 files from the IGS site.

Michael,

At this time, the Solutions software does not support using the Precise Ephemeris. This includes the SP3 & EF18 formats.

This is the case for all Solutions software inclusive to latest released 2.5 Version.

However, Ashtech does offer a utility software called "Dr.K". One of the features of this utility, it supports the import of the Precise Ephemeris, translating into a standard Ashtech E-File (Broadcast Ephemeris).

The resulting Dr.K "E-file" can then be used in the Solutions processor.

The Dr. K utility program can be purchased from Ashtech sales. It's a work around that's available if you project requires use of the Precise Ephemeris.
