NEVERMIND.
It was those battery contacts(actually contact-the one which joins the spring to the positive).

Doesn't the spring push againist the negative (flat) part of the battery?
I think the sheath is insulated as such that even though(if?) it's metal, it shouldn't cause a short.
I just think the spring doesn't always contact the positive terminal very well.
They(the spring) was never intended to contact the positive.
It's a problem I run into often, but when it happens the unit won't turn on(its always been right after changing batteries).
This time, everything worked great, I got my sessions and all in, but when I got back to the office, the unit wouldn't turn on and OF COURSE, this was right after I read the post about the other unit that wouldn't turn on.
