Thales has released a new version of Fast Survey - 1.50.024. It is available at no charge from ftp.thalesnavigation.com in the "Software/FAST Survey" directory. The new version has been ported to both the Juniper Systems Allegro and Symbol PDT8100 handhelds.

Note: You must already have FAST Survey 1.50 or higher installed on your handheld before upgrading to version 1.50.024.

If you have an Allegro version of FAST Survey older than 1.50, you should do the following:
1. Download "Allegro boot loader Technical Note July 2004.PDF" from ftp.thalesnavigation.com/ZMax_System
and follow the instructions carefully.
2. Go to the "Z-Max V1.5 software&Firmware/Allegro FAST Survey" subdirectory and follow the instructions in "Juniper Allegro Fast Survey V1.5 upgrade May 2004.pdf"

If you have a PDT8100 version of FAST Survey older than 1.50, you should go to the "Z-Max V1.5 software&Firmware/Symbol FAST Survey" subdirectory and follow the instructions in "SymbolPDT8100 Fast SurveyV1.50.020 upgrade-A.doc"
