Found it in my mailbox today, installed and WOW what a bunch of new "tools" we have to use. This should really get the message board active, that is unless we are all "up all night" fixing problem data!
A big "Thanks" goes to Ashtech and Thales for getting this new software to us.

It'll be like Christmas morning.
I suppose I should call tech support monday and get on the mailing list?

No fair. My mail box was empty today. Of course Stumpwater is so far in the boonies we have to pump in sunlight sometimes.
You get to be the demo man for the rest of us now. Of course, since you'll be spending all your computer time playing with your new toys, you probably won't take the time to clue the rest of us in.
Study it well and be prepared to answer some questions anyhoo.

OK .. I got mine the other day and have begun to look it over. Pulled out an old job done last winter in the trees.. Bills mention of "choppy data" sure describes the residual plots in these areas but the thing that really caught my eye was a data set from two recievers out in the wide open that show two segments about 1.5 minutes long completly missing...I always wondered about birds setting on the recievers .. is this what I'm seeing ??? Bill...
BTW all the new tools look great .. more learning ahead

Steven,
The most probable reason why you are seeing these gaps in the residual plots is that the processing engine threw out this data because the residuals were above a certain threshold. To verify this, look at the raw data plots from each of the receivers. If the raw data plots show data exists were gaps appear in the residual plots, this indicates the data was removed by the processing engine.
