unhook your antanna, before powering off, i accidently did this after a well needed 2 hr session, it gave me a weird error and would not process!

also, even if you tink you have expensive brand bew batteries..... check them often. they will power off on you , then when you restart they seem fine.

after i unplugged my antennae and i used what i had (raw data only). i decided to travers 1/2 mile between two points i did have. they checked with in .05'

i am confused. because it wouldnt let me process anything. so i chose spc choords and inversed them and they seemed right. then i traved them.

this ever happen b 4?

Every GPS manual I have ever seen warns against this practice.

Always get everything hooked up BEFORE powering up, and power down BEFORE unhooking anything.

On the bright side:

If you convert the raw (binary) file to RINEX, you can get in there and edit the header data, and then import the file back into your post processing software. It will run fine (at least in my experience).

Some systems that log multiple RAW files (some of which contain point/occupation data), may require a little "data invention," but you can usually use "good" files to learn the lingo and format.
