I see from the brochure that the ProMark2 will be offered as a receiver only (presumably with the standard accessories, like the external antenna and power supply) or as part of a static kit (2 or 3 receivers and accessories, plus software).
My questions:
1. Can the data be downloaded from the receivers without the ProMark2 software (perhaps via a free utility)?
2. Will the downloaded data files be standard Ashtech format(s), or readily convertable to RINEX?
3. What's the MSRP for the receiver and accessories (no processing software)?
Since I already own the latest "yellow box" processing and adjustment suite, I'm interested in learning whether or not I will be able to use the ProMark2 receivers without buying yet another pricey bit of software.
let me try these (although I should leave this for a tech, since I haven't seen the PM2 yet):
My questions:
1. Can the data be downloaded from the receivers without the ProMark2 software (perhaps via a free utility)? Our download module is a free utility available on our ftp site
2. Will the downloaded data files be standard Ashtech format(s), or readily convertable to RINEX? They will be Ashtech format, but our Rinex converter utility is on the ftp site as well
3. What's the MSRP for the receiver and accessories (no processing software)?
$1895 for one reciever/antenna/download cradle. This is still tentative pricing for the single unit.
Jim,
1. The download module of Solutions 2.4 (and later) is the tool for downloading PM2.
2. Data files from PM2 are standard Ashtech B & E-files, and a slightly modified ASCII D-file.
3. Call Sales on this one. I think s/w is included in the PM2 package, which includes a RINEX converter (so you could use your yellowbox s/w to process). Don't quote me on this without asking our sales people, though.
