Tom,
You couldn't have stumbled into a better place than this message board. Looking forward to your posts, there are quite a few of us that have "been there done that" ready to join in on helping each other out.
Be sure you fill out the warranty card, and make double sure you sign up for J.D.'s annual "open house stumpwater tasting/crawfish boil extravaganza".(And you thought the free receiver was a deal!)
Dave.......
I'm sure Tom and all the other guys planning to make the trip next year will really appreciate your participation in the "extravaganza". You didn't mention that you pick up all the crawfish on your way through Jimbo's neck of the woods. That's a wonderful gesture on you part. Really gonna save Jimbo some bucks next year. I'll enjoy cookin' em up as always.
J.D.
JD,
Maybe we oughta plan this extravaganza ...if we 'splain how to get there does that qualify for PDH time ? If we survey the brewery and the boiling pot...is that PDH time ? I know nobody be sleepin during them "seminars".
Jimbo
PS. We could even answer a bunch of questions about the Locus if anybody has any !

We usually come down to Texas for Christmas to visit my family outside of Austin...will there be any beer and crawfish then? And we really should get PDU's set up for it...then I could claim it as a buisness trip...Tom
It is a widely held belief that such does not exist. I believe they do and that we are all part of a conspiracy greater than the trilateralist conspiracy itself. I believe that the cajuns eat fresh crawfish year round and that they tell everyone else in the world that the season is limited from Memorial Day to July 4th. If you notice "dey all tawk in dat secret code" so as to keep us foriegners ignorant of their deception. But since we have an insider (Jimbo), maybe we can get crawfish in Christmas...
Jimbo?
Shawn

I am starting to get the urge for some of those crawdad...I spent a couple of years in Opelousas when I was a kid...my youngest sister learned to talk there and when we moved north to St Louis MO...everyone thought she had a speech impediment.....So...when do we eat? and put me down for a barrel of that stumpwater pale ale also...does it taste like fat tire pale ale? hoo we...now we having some fun...Tom
with your Locus results. I guarantee if you'll check against your best conventional work you'll be pleased with what you see. It's also a really good idea, and confidence builder, to do solar observations occassionally to compare to your gps determined bearings/azimuths.
As for the Stumpwater Pale Ale....nope, it's not a "Fat Tire" clone, but it is similar in overall process. I'm not real proud of my pale ales anyway. Such a high carbonate/bicarbonate content in our local water supply (well water system), I've reserved myself to accept the fact I can only brew dark ales now.

Is this offer still available?
Thanks.
