Well, after completing construction of our new "post in the yard", we began observation sessions today. Left one Locus on the post, and took one for a ride to occupy 3 seperate controls. All three were occupied for a sufficient time for a 20k base line. After a full constrained adjustment - holding coords for the three controls - the residuals on the new station were 0.01 or less, at 95%. Not bad for the first of many sessions. The base was left cooking for 8 hours. Next week we'll download CORS data and see how it fits. We're going to re-observe all three of these vectors, as well as many more, with redundant checks to determine the best possible coordinate values for this "office" point.
How close is "close enough" though? Damn this Locus stuff is just amazing.
