I purchased the Locus Receivers on June 11, 2001 and then called Ashtech to see how to get my FREE RECEIVER.
I was told to fax over a copy of my receipt and it would be taken care of.
I called Ashtech yesterday (July 11) and all I was able to do is leave a voice mail message. You would think after a month I would at least get a courtesy call.

Same thing applies here. I bought my 2 recievers on June 25. I have called once and was told it would be a week or so. I don't understand the hold-up. I need this third reciever do I can train with it and start using it.

I wouldn't blame y'all a bit for being upset about the lapse of time. I don't work for Ashtech and I don't know anyone from Ashtech (except through association on this board), but I would be inclined to cut them some slack. Just from what I have gathered in reading POB and such here is a paraphrased documented history of the last 6+ months.

Consider this. They were already hopping from the releases and promotions and then had a parent company bought out by Thales. I wouldn't so much be concearned about the future of Ashtech, but I think it is safe to say that they have a lot on their plate right now.

Not only is there a lot going on right now, but Locus sales have been better than anticipated, causing somewhat of a backlog. Customer Service should be able to tell you when your orders will ship.

I'm not waiting for a Locus...I've already got three(before the freebie promotion). But I sure wish that some other companies would take lessons from these guys and gals on Customer Service.
This board with Ashtech's help and monitoring is an unbelievable asset.
