One thing I just can't seem to get straight is the timing of the Promark 2.
I used it today for stop/go kinematic.
Set the base and set the rover about 100 feet away.
No initialization bar and set the timer to 615 seconds.
After 615 seconds I pick up and change the timer to 15 seconds.
Half of my reading stations are entered as RAW. I think I might have accidently set the interval to 15 seconds.
NOW, that said. When the timing interval is 15 seconds AND the timer is 15 seconds . . . EVEN THOUGHT I SCREWED THIS ALL UP . . . should I still expect to get at least 1 (recorded)epoch per station setup?
I seems to me that about half of my shots are okay(1 epoch) and half are raw(no epochs?). The processed and raw are intermingled.
Is it possible that with 15 second recording I get recordings at 00, 15, 30, &45 seconds of the minute and only those station occupations where I "happend" to be sitting while that 00, 15, 30 or 45 came up is where I got the single epoch?
I'm going to blame this entirely on the fact that I left the plastic cover on teh GPS and that I CANNOT STAND WEARING GLASSES WHEN I WORK . . . it just can't be my fault.
Okay, I'm calmer. Since I generally occupy the points for about 2-3 seconds AFTER the timer is expired, would it be worthwhile to "join" a couple of seconds onto the back end of my occupations, or is this just too hard an endeaver to accomplish? The job's only about 5 minutes away, so going back is not a big deal. I just want to know if I can "fix" this somehow, for the time the job's an hour away.
When I asked for those ProMark2 training publications that are on the ftp server at
ftp://ftp.thalesnavigation.com
some of the things included in my request were simple instructions in large print that I could read in the field.
I hope they will help you.
