A) big props for the new ASHTECH site!!
B) after using ufcors downloaded info from arl5 in Arlington Tx and inserting those rinex filse into AOSS.. the error msg " .obs has unknown antenna type" appears. Even though trm22020.00+gp info is provided by the download, the AOSS software does not recognize the 22020.00+ ground plane antenna. I suppose my question is how do i edit or download that info into my software for correct processing?
thanks ....keith
p.s. can anyone shed any light on whether or not a regular microwave oven can negatively affect z-surveyor units while they are turned off in storage ????
Hi:
Here's what you need to do to get the trimble22020.00+gp information into AOSS.
(1) Go to the website
http://www.grdl.noaa.gov/GRD/GPS/Projects/ANTCAL/Models/TRM22020_00.shtml
This will give you information on the phase center offsets and phase center variation model for this antenna.
(2) Make a backup of the following files in your c:/aos folder:
antecc.dat
igs_user.pcv
(3) Edit the antecc.dat file with Wordpad or similar program. You will have to enter the new antenna trimble22020.00+gp with its phase center location and antenna radius.
The AOSS manual page 5-107 to 5-104 has a good description of the antenna constants that are needed.
(5) save the new antecc.dat file with the same name antecc.dat
(6) edit the igs_user.pcv file and enter the phase center variation information. Copy the information directly from the ngs web site. You want to get this information:
TRM 22020.00 GEOD L1/L2 NGS ( 4) 97/10/27
-.1 -.6 74.2
.0 4.6 8.9 12.6 15.8 18.3 20.0 20.9 21.1 20.6
19.5 18.1 16.3 14.5 13.0 12.0 11.8 .0 .0
-.5 2.8 70.5
.0 .3 1.0 1.9 2.8 3.6 4.3 4.8 5.1 5.0
4.7 4.1 3.3 2.4 1.4 .5 -.1 .0 .0
******Make sure you name the antenna the same as you named it in the antecc.dat file*******
****Save the igs_user file with the same name*********
(7) Re-start the AOSS program and right click on an observation file to display your new antenna information. You should be able to toggle between "Phase center ecc (m)" and "Elevation Dependent" using the >.
As for the question about the Z-surveyors, storing them in a room with a microwave will not hurt them.
