Ashtech Solutions v2 - Update

It's been 3 weeks since I gave you all an update of where we stand with distribution of the Ashtech Solutions v2 upgrades. Here's the latest.

We have had great difficulty in getting the new CDs duplicated. You would think that in Silicon Valley, the one thing that would be easy to accomplish would be CD duplication. Unfortunately, it has been one problem after another. It looks promising that we will get CDs next week, but I hate to commit to this.

I promise to keep you updated.

I received my v2.0 two weeks ago.

Its interesting, in some of my kinematic topo sessions using v1.0 there were the usual rare failed points, about 1 out of 40, maybe.

With v2.0, some of these are ok, but another point or two fails that did not with the earlier version, so I have found that on a couple of projects I was able to hop back n forth between the two versions and fill in the blanks.

I think I'll keep v1.0 on my desktop for awhile just in case.

Bill,

The Survey Control II software was just released by our Systems Test group. It will take about a week or so to find it's way into manufacturing and configured for shipment. At that time it will begin shipping to customers who have purchased it.
