I am curious to know what method other Locus/GPS users are using to determine elevations based on NAVD29 datums.
Using Vertcon, the difference between NAVD88 and NAVD29 in this area should be about 3 feet different from the values my one and only CORS provides.
I have to do a whole lot of double-blind redundancy, and there outa be an easier way.
I have this hatred of NAV83 "orthometric" elevations, and I don't think they are right. I am not about to start running level loops all over the county to test the GPS. The other day I had the wrong "CONUS" world geoide figure, a mathematical fiction, entered, and all my elevations were 2.5 feet haywire.
This post will reflect my frustration with the elevations far more accurately than my GPS equipment reflects elevations.
Horizontal is a piece of cake.
Any suggestions?
