Locus does it again

Just finished a rather large (for me) control survey using six locus units.

Three I own and borrowed the rest.

80 acres for a new high school site, 20 to 50 feet of elevation change within the site.

There will be a lot of improvements when construction takes place including about 1 mile of roads, a new football stadium, new high school, parking, utilities, etc. so I have a control network of 35 points around the site.

Right now I am focusing on the control, boundary verification, topo and tree locations.

After processing the data for the control points, I spent today verifying the H&V at convenient places.

The worst horizontal that I could find was 0.04 and the worst verical was 0.06, but most vertrical was within 0.04.

Now thats some good stuff, it would have taken me 5 days to do this with a level and traversing, but I did it in 1.5 days with the Locus.

I have had my Locus since they came out and they still amaze me.
