I worked a job last week, in the back swamps of Northeast Ohio.
I used GPS to get into the back. They were set up high and dry, but immediately after setting the second one, I kinda noticed that more water was flowing into the swamp than in the previous half hour.
After about 1/2 hour, I meantioned to the land owner that something didn't seem right and gave him instructions to take his 4-wheeeler to check on the other GPS. If it were high and dry to let it go, if not, turn it off and bring it back.
WELL, the unit was "under" water up to the display, but still running.
This was really scary, because although they are advertized to be waterproof(and that they EVEN float), three of my other four units would get internally wet if I just tried to wipe them off with a very damp rag.
BOY, WAS I LUCKY.
