Had a 10 point gps job two hours from the office. First of all one of my two workers did not show up (needed him to sit with a reciever and drive one of the two trucks witch he had at his damn house). I haul ass to his house , he is too dam hungover to come out and face me, probably a good thing. My ex-employee's roomate finally emerges with the key.
, anyway I get my wife's brother's unlce's nefew twice removed to help me, by the way I have worked about every male member of my family, and my wifes family for a hundered mile radius they just dont stick around ? Finally I am on the road. 30 min , sh#@$* I have left the monument sheet at the office, turn around ,back on the road. Get to the job at 1:00 find my first monument. Gps the first 6 point job, then traverse to the points I could not gps in the woods, gps to the second 4 point site; tied my last monument 9:10 in the dark, set the reciever up by headlights;(I thank my $150.00 handheld gps for helping me find the mon in the dark, if you guys are looking for geodetic mon these babies are a must), on my way home stop for gas and food fill up the tank ; go to pay they dont take flippen plastic I got 15 bucks in my pocket, got to ask the crew to pitch in; Back at the office 11:00 , wow what a day!

should I tell you about today , naw you probably know all ready .

You must have forgotten to take along a copy of your mission planning for the day, since you didn't mention "^*$#%$ ! I need to be driving when there is only 4 sv's and observing when I have 8!
Ah yes, the "beat the clock" factor. I think it gets us all.
Regarding the help, isn't that the norm? I've had at least 3 employees claim that just "keeping an eye" on a receiver was "boring". Geesh! You wanna cut some bushes???

Had 6-7 sat most of the afternoon, then had 8 sat from about 7:00 on. Data looked great. I found if i keep my base lines at 10 k and under I get real good results with out having to sit there all day.
