Ashtech Solutions 2.0 - Defect in new Ground system function

You guys (and gals) won't believe this. I can hardly believe it myself.

Not one hour after I posted the previous message about shipment of Ashtech Solutions 2.0 was I notified of a defect in the new Ground system function.

We have stopped shipment of the upgrades until this is resolved. We should have a patch within a day or two. We will add the patch to the package and resume shipment as soon as possible. I will keep you posted.

Approximately 100 packages went out last week. If you receive the upgrade package without information related to this defect, please avoid using the Ground system function until we get a patch to you.

Sorry about this people. We will work to get this resolved asap.

Bill,

I just have to say that you and your company show great character in having this board and being honest about the development of problems and their "Solutions" (pun intended). By having this board you take the risk of having anyone airing their problems with your products (legitimate or otherwise). I wanted to personally convey that I hope you aren't embarassed by this and that I appreciate your desire to put a better product on the market.

And I might add that this quick notification of the problem is greatly appreciated also. Many co.'s involved with software (Bill's Boys...not our Bill) often stonewall and deny problems exist until a patch is developed for a product "enhancement".
