…a request for help with RINEX files from a newby to Ashtech Solutions. and skip your 2 through 4. I'll give it a try, Mike.
CORS data to Ashtech Solutions.
1) Download the appropriate file from:
2) After the download, unzip the file, if D/L was zipped by NGS Computer.
3) Open the uncompressed NGS file in a word processor.
4) Strip out the garbage and save the observation and navigation portions of the file in separate text files labeled under the following naming convention:
RINEX-2 files are named as follows with * standing for any file and YY the two digit year.
*.YYo for observation file
*.YYn for navigation message
*.YYs for summary
The observation and navigation files for COORS Station “BILL” (at Lake Skinner, east of Temecula, Southern California) for September 11, 2003 would be:
BILL.03O and BILL.03N
5) Place both of these text files in the same directory as the project in which you are working.
6) Open Ashtech Solution.
7) Open the project.
8) Click on “TOOLS”.
9) Click on “RINEX Converter”.
10) Under the “RINEX to Ashtech” tab, make sure that the Input Directory is pointed properly (edit/navigate as necessary)
11) Press the “BEGIN” button and, WHAM!...RINEX is stuffed into the project.
So, is the above correct? I’ve based this scenario on about a dozen or so posts regarding RINEX to Ashtech conversion from CORS Data. Remember, this stuff become as obvious as the nose on your face after you’ve done it a few times; the first time through is like navigating a mine field with a cane!
Thanks for any input I get!

I would use the User Friendly CORS instead

Then when bringing the files into the project, you can bring in the Rinex files directly without converting them to be Ashtech B files, Solutions will convert them for you automatically.
When you got to Add Raw Files From Disk, choose the File Type pulldown for Rinex. Then you can skip 8, 9 and 10 too.
Thanks, Mike! When is data available?

When do the current day's RINEX files become available on the NGS site? I'd like to process the files I collected today against a pair of CORS sites near me (BILL and MONP).
BTW - first day with the new PM2s. What a joy to use! I set them up got them running and went hunting for monuments on a 10 acre commercial site. Kept checking the receivers for enough data and then moving them when they let me know I had more than ")" on the observation timer.
The processesed PM2 data matched my optical data within 0.01'.
I think I'm really going to enjoy these little devils!
