POB SW Oklahoma
Posted By Deral Paulk on 9/3/2003 at 8:49 AM

Just a pic before we start the big topo project this morning. I'll post others after work today.

This one is of the boys from Kilgore with a 'new' Instrument. Both could jam a bit of Hendrix.

Not sure if they were using NAD-83 (North American De-tuning) or the ITRF (Intentional Tuning Reference Frets)..

I can't remember if we quit because we were all tired or it was the police knocking on the door asking for the stack to be turned down a bit. (We turned it from 11 back to 9 or so)..The celestions do hammer a bit.

By the way...That's a vintage Gibson "V".. Sorta a V-Max (not to be confused with the Z-Max...

It took me a little while to find the photos on the main board. I got waylaid reading some other things.

Enjoyed seeing some faces I recognized. I was just trying to remember if I had seen their pictures at the post office...

That guitar player looks "sedated"

I believe that there is a song called "Comfortably Numb" that sorta explains the feeling.

Actually, I think he was just suffering from travel time as this was sorta early in the evening.

Ever hear 5 surveyors singing..It ain't pretty...(of course if we had all used the same lyrics then it might have been okay).

SPECIAL NOTE to the Attendees..I put a new knob on the bathroom door. You will no longer have to be aided in getting out of the bathroom.

I hope i get to make the next get together. If JD werenet so worthless he could have swung through here and picked me up. It couldnt be over 100 miles out of the way round trip.

Yes it's true, I suffer from cronic lyracosis (the forgetting of exact lyrics in song). Drives my wife crazy. Sometimes I mess up words to song just to annoy her.

As to the sedation, I guess after the dozen beers I drank for Phil, they began to take their toll. I don't think I played any worse for it though. I stink pretty bad even when I am sober.

It was a great time as always. MLB was a 'great meet' (as we have coined the phrase).

you mean you actually spent the $6.95 and got a new doorknob....

I thought the door was actually only for the benefit of those on the outside of the room anyway

A REAL Bachelors' pad would have the door knob still in the box laying on the floor (so you could break your toe on the thing).
Pssst JD----It's fer the LADIES!

Dave...SHHHHH..

Don't tell my secrets. I still haven't fixed the one in my bedroom.

Sorta Hotel California. You can never leave..

and JD..I'm not a cheap skate..I bought the fancy $18 dollar doorknobs..The cute little blond said they were worth it as they had solid metal somethings or another. (am I an easy sale or what!)

Guess you noticed that MLB made it safely back to California. We are awaiting his colorful notes to adorn the main board on his trip to Oklahoma.
