THE DISKS WILL NOT LOAD. WHAT DOES Y2K NON COMPLIENT MEAN, IT WORKS FINE DOES IT "THINK" IT'S IN 1900, AND IF SO, SO WHAT AS LONG AS THE LONG/LAT ARE OK?
Hi:
What disks were you loading that did not work? Is it MSTAR?
Any GPS reciever that is not Y2K compliant is not reliable. It will out put files with dates that are completely incorrect. Any post-processing software using these files will have a lot of trouble reading them, and may not read them at all.
Also, the Magellan GPS 1000 Pro is not EOW (End of week Rollover) compliant. The GPS positions from this receiver are not reliable.
Magellan strongly recommends that all our users have GPS receivers that are Y2K/EOW rollover compliant. Like other GPS manufacturers, we can't support receivers that are not Y2K/EOW compliant as the errors are too large and unpredictable.
