cold boot

I can not change the recording interval on my locus units with my hp48, after clearing the memory. I have had this problem before, but I have lost the steps on how to re-boot or cold boot the handhelds. Any info. would be appreciated.

With the 48 on. Press and hold down the A and the F key. Press ON, let off on the ON, then let off of the A and the F at the same time. When asked to recover memory say no.

Then I would hold down the ON, then press the SPC key, let off the ON key then let off of the SPC.
