Is anyone using Kinematic satisfactorily?
Basic answer to your question: Yes
If you mean Locus and PM2 together in a kinematic session...it works well also
If you mean PM2 alone.......
I installed the new 2.20 firmware on all my PM2 units last week and did a kinematic test on my original "beta test base line" on a couple of them with 100% success (Friday afternoon)
As for Locus only kinematic...haven't done it since getting the PM2's
Are you having a problem?
You said Kinematic...My response was to "Stop and Go". I forget there's a difference, so if you were referring to continuous kinematic disregard my post as just more bboard jibberish!

Naw, I meant stop & go, but I meant either with Locus units, or Promark2 units or any mixture.
I'm wondering if the kinematic is REALLY useful enough that kinematic GPS is realistic or if it's only useful on ABSOLUTELY COMPLETELY TOTAL OPEN PROJECTS.
Here in the Ozarks, I can only use the Kinematic with the Locus in very open terrain, of which there is little.

yeah, I use it with Locus.
Of course an open sky is most productive. With Locus, don't know about PM2, you can cheat, by holding an unknown point, after loss of lock, for 15-20 minutes as a new re-init right in the middle of the S&G operation.
This allows you to go thru the woods, between the buildings, under the overpass, or whatever. You are just effectively creating a new static point to re-init on. Not as fast as L1/L2 but a whole lot cheaper.
And of course you should be setting several convenient points around the project while you have lock for those times you need to re-init for the uh-oh's !
Don't use it everyday, but the Locus K kit has paid for itself and then some.

yup...
